The colours we are looking for are blue, red, turquoise, orange and pink, if you have other colours we will happily take them. If you need us to collect please contact the parish office who will be able to arrange this on 756028. The first design is completed and starting dates will be available very soon …… keep watching.
Week Commencing 8th May 2017
The Clerk and Tutor have met this week and the first design will be presented to Parish Councillors this month for agreement. The design stage has taken longer than first anticipated due to the huge response received from residents of Totland, and the amazing ideas you all had, we really have been overwhelmed with the enthusiasm shared for this project.
Totland Parish Council are pleased to announce the Community Mosaic Project for Totland Sea Front. Under the guidance of an experienced mosaic artist and teacher groups will learn how to make mosaics from old crockery whilst creating something beautiful and lasting. You can register your interest by either telephoning the parish office or emailing them. There will be an open day for ‘planning and design’ this will involve coming to the parish office at a convenient time for you and drawing some ideas, please note you do not need to be an artist to do this. Once a date has been agreed this site will be updated. Currently we are asking for donations of old, chipped or broken crockery. If you can help with this please bring to the parish office or ring as we may be able to collect.
